The Pictorial History of a State
Utah is a state which abounds in superlatives. From the magnificent variety of her scenery - arid desert, glittering salt flats, fertile farmland, towering peaks, canyons aglow with incomparable color - to the equally amazing variety of the men who made the state, there has been nothing small, ordinary, or even "average" about Utah. Her History, therefore lends itself particularly well to pictorial presentation.
As our contribution to the Centennial celebration of the settlement of a mighty state, we take great pleasure in presenting to the people of Utah a pictorial history of their homeland - a series of murals in which that history comes alive again under the skilled brush of Eugene A. Montgomery, noted muralist and portrait painter. We hope that your pleasure in the possession of these murals will equal ours in presenting them.
