Rock Back Home Under Golden Dome
This striking resemblance of the late Knute K. Rockne , who made Notre Dame famous in football, is the work of Gene Montgomery, A Chicago artist, pictured applying the finishing touches to the masterpiece. The oil painting will hang in the Rockne Memorial Field House at Notre Dame. It was on display last night for the 1,000 guests who attended the annual banquet for the 1938 Notre Dame football team sponsored by the St. Joe Valley Club at South Bend, Ind.
